The location of the home is a great advantage, situated on the prestigious 'Hampton Lakes', along the US27 which is straight off the I4 (the main route through Florida). All of Orlando's favourite attractions are within easy reach and it's so close to Disneyland, you can actually see the fireworks! It's approximately only 12 minutes from World Drive, the entrance to all that Disney has to offer. Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot Centre, Animal Kingdom and the Water Parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Also there is the shopping and fun of Downtown Disney, Disney Village, Disney Boardwalk and Pleasure Island too.
The house is only approximately, 30 minutes from Universal Studios, Sea World, and Discovery Cove. The Beltz outlets and the Florida Mall, (the States largest shopping mall) are around 25 minutes away.
For the golf lovers out there, Walts World is only 3 minutes from Champions Gate, were there is several championship golf courses. The nearest course is just about 2 minutes drive away, and there are over 50 courses in close proximity.
Just across State, heading East, Cocoa and Daytona Beach and the Kennedy Space Centre are just over one hours drive away. Heading South West, Busch Gardens, another good theme park, and the beautiful beaches of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater are approximately one and half hours drive. If you wish to venture a little further a field to yet another great beach, head for the Gulf Coast and Sarasota which is about 2 hours drive away. Note that as our location is close to Interstate 4 these, and many more attractions are easily accesible. Orlando International Airport is only 35 minutes away, and Tampa is approximately an hour.
There are several supermarkets within a 5 minute drive, one just outside the entrance of Hampton Lakes, these provide great BBQ chickens and pizzas for a great night by the pool.
To find Walts World from the airports:
From Orlando International: Follow the airport exit road North and then pick up the Beeline Expressway, 528 (Toll Road) and head West until you reach the Interstate 4 junction. Join the I4 sign posted Tampa and proceed West. At junction 55 leave the I4 and head North on the US 27. Hampton Lakes is 3.8 miles on the right.
From Sanford: Take Lake Mary Blvd to I4 interchange and continue West. At junction 55 leave the I4 and head North on the US27. Hampton Lakes entrance is 3.8 miles on the right. |
